Google Business Profiles<\/em> are free tools offered by Google that allows businesses to manage their online presence across various Google services, such as Google Search and Google Maps. It’s an important aspect of local search engine optimization (SEO) and helps businesses <\/a><\/strong>connect with customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Websites made with Google Business Profiles are basic websites powered by the information on your Business Profile. In March 2024, the websites will be turned off and customers visiting your site will be redirected to your Business Profile <\/strong>instead. The redirect will work until June 10, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domains that end with business.site and negocio.site will be removed from the website field on your Business Profile in March. Google recommend that you update your Google Business Profile to point to a new website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other than that, your Business Profile won\u2019t be affected. When customers visit your website made with Google Business Profile, they\u2019ll be redirected to your Business Profile <\/strong>instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t have a website made with a Google Business Profile, the changes discussed in this article won\u2019t affect you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Business Profile is a great place to;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Share important information, updates, and links to other social platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Use photos to attract customers<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Let customers know how contact you through messages or by adding your phone number<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    When your website is shutdown, customers attempting to visit the website will be redirected to your Business Profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Your customers will only be redirected to your Business Profile until June 10, 2024. After that date, customers will get a “page not found” error when attempting to visit your website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you\u2019d like to continue having a website for your business, consider creating a new website using other tools and updating your Business Profile with the new website address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
