Iyabo Ojo, a Nigerian actress, claims that Omowunmi, Mohbad’s wife, has agreed to a DNA test to determine the paternity of her child with the late singer.
On September 12, Mohbad passed away. The next day, he was buried.
The remains of the 27-year-old pop sensation was unearthed for autopsy on September 21.
The circumstances of his demise have sparked further debate.
In the midst of the controversy, Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, advised that no one should collect his son’s body for burial without his permission.
He also demanded that a DNA test be performed to determine Omowunmi’s child’s paternity.
In a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Iyabo stated Omowunmi, through her lawyer, ordered that the DNA tests be performed at three hospitals.
Omowunmi also urged her husband’s family to sponsor the DNA tests, which involved a trip to the United States, according to her.
Iyabo claimed that the family had consented to the terms.

“But you know she has her lawyers. Their family matter is something I do not want to get involved with,” she said.
“I just decided to wade in and tell Wunmi, ‘What about the DNA thing?’ I had to do that with a lot of maturity.
“You have to understand that it is not easy. She is a mother. She is an adult. Someone cannot just come to me and say, ‘Iyabo, get a DNA done for your child’. It kinda sounds funny.
“They also requested that Mohbad’s father needs to get the test done first. He needs to get a court order.
“He also needs to make sure that the test is done in three places, which America is part of. And they have to fund the whole bill. They have also responded that they are ready to do all that.”
There have been calls from entertainers asking for the release of Mohbad’s body for burial.
This includes the singer Bella Shmurda and actress Tonto Dikeh.
