The Kano State Government has declared the end of the state’s 24-hour curfew, which had been in effect since Wednesday.
To prevent a collapse in law and order, the state administration declared a 24-hour curfew following the governorship tribunal decision.
Commissioner for Information, Baba Dantiye, told media on Thursday that Governor Abba Yusuf lifted the curfew due to the peaceful climate in the state and to allow residents to go about their daily routines.

Dantiye urged people to keep the peace and work with security forces to ensure peaceful coexistence.
The state police commissioner, Muhammad Usaini Gumel, confirmed the development through the command spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, saying the curfew has been removed and citizens may go about their business calmly.
