Men of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 46 suspected internet fraudsters, commonly known as Yahoo boys, in Awka, Anambra State.
The operation took place in the early hours of Friday, May 24, 2024, following credible intelligence linking the suspects to cybercrime activities in the state.
In a brief statement, the EFCC detailed that items recovered from the suspects include mobile phones, six laptops, and six exotic cars. The suspects are currently providing confessional statements and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
