In a move to honor Nigeria’s cultural heritage, President Bola Tinubu has approved the naming of a 3.2 km road in the Kwali Area Council after the renowned potter Ladi Kwali.
This announcement was made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, during the commissioning of the road, which connects to the Kwali bridge.
Minister Wike highlighted President Tinubu’s dedication to the well-being of Nigerians, assuring the residents of Kwali that the administration will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy.
“President Tinubu is committed to the well-being of Nigerians and will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy,” Wike stated.
Ladi Kwali, celebrated for her exceptional pottery skills, is prominently featured on the N20 note, symbolizing her significant contributions to Nigerian art and culture. This road naming is a tribute to her legacy and a recognition of her impact on Nigerian heritage.
