An executive member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Ramota Bankole, passed away suddenly while performing Hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The APC in Lagos State expressed deep sorrow over her unexpected demise, describing her as a dedicated and experienced leader within the party.
Mr. Seye Oladejo, the APC’s Publicity Secretary, conveyed his shock and sadness at the news, emphasizing Ramota Bankole’s significant contributions to the party’s executive council.
He noted her role as a committed mobilizer and advocate for women’s involvement in politics.
Ms. Surah Animashaun, Chairman of Epe Local Government, also confirmed the unfortunate event, highlighting that Alhaja Ramota Bankole had been in good health before embarking on the pilgrimage.
She extended condolences to the Bankole family, APC members, and the community of Epe, mourning the loss of “our dear sister and mummy.”
