You can cancel Netflix subscription anytime you want, provide you have an account on the platform and you are a subscriber. The steps to unsubscribe from Netflix plans are easy as A, B, C, and D. All you have to do is to adhere to the basics of this article and you’ll be very much good to go.

Netflix has made it way to becoming a household name, changing how people consume their favorite shows and movies. While the streaming giant offers a lot of content and a user-friendly interface, there may come a time when subscribers decide to cancel their subscription.

The Standard plan offers streaming on two devices simultaneously in high definition (HD), while the Premium plan allows streaming on up to four devices concurrently in Ultra HD (4K).

Each plan comes with a monthly subscription fee, and you can upgrade or downgrade your plans at any time. It’s very important to understand the terms and benefits of your chosen plan before considering cancellation.

How To Cancel Netflix Subscription

Cancelling a Netflix subscription is a hassle-free process, and below are the step-by-step guide on how to get it done.

  • Visit the Netflix website at www.netflix.com from your browser
  • Log in to your Netflix account using your username and password.
  • Once logged in, locate the account menu found at the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Click on your profile picture to open a dropdown menu and select “Account” or “Account Settings.”
  • In the account settings, find the section labeled “Membership & Billing.” This is where you can manage your subscription details.
  • Within the “Membership & Billing” section, look for an option that says “Cancel Membership” or a similar phrase.
  • Click on the “Cancel Membership” option to initiate the cancellation process.
  • Netflix will ask you to confirm your decision to cancel your subscription. Read any additional information provided, such as the date your subscription will end.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the cancellation process. You might be asked to provide feedback on why you’re cancelling (but this is optional)

After successfully cancelling your subscription, Netflix will send a confirmation email to the address associated with your account.

Take note, cancelling your Netflix subscription does not mean you are deleting your Netflix account. You can log back in anytime you want and subscribe again to start enjoying the contents.
