Wolverhampton Wanderers ruined Manchester City’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season by defeating the league leaders for the first time this season.
After racing through the City defense and smoothly slipping past Nathan Ake, Ruben Dias knocked a Pedro Neto cross into his own net.
As Wolves put pressure in the first half, City struggled to keep up with Neto’s pace on the flanks.
The visitors trailed at halftime but replied swiftly when Julian Alvarez curled a free-kick past Jose Sa.

Hwang Hee-chan, however, restored Wolves’ lead by calmly tucking home after Matheus Cunha discovered him unmarked in the box.
Despite the defeat, Pep Guardiola’s men remain top of the standings, but they could be deposed if Liverpool beat Tottenham in Saturday’s late game.
Wolves are 13th in the table with seven points from seven games.
